Once there was a seed
that fell down to the ground.
It was dejected to have been separated
from the tree
which has always been its home.
“It’s okay,” said the tree.
“You had to fall so you can be planted
and you can grow”.
But the seed didn’t see how this could be so.
“How could there be life in me,
when it is you that sustained me?”
So, it went to a deep sleep,
believing it was the end.
Until one day it woke up,
with the sun kissing its tiny leaf.
And it said to the tree:
“I’m sorry I didn’t believe you.”
The tree answered:
“It doesn’t matter.
I believed in you.”
